Promotion of medical products dealer website

Diachek LLC is a dealer of medical products and goods for people with diabetes.

Goal: to improve positions and increase traffic from Google.

Regions for promotion: Moscow, St. Petersburg, Krasnoyarsk, Crimea, Russia.

The process of the site promotion began in February 2019. Previously it was promoted by a freelancer. The client was not satisfied with the results of the work. The freelancer has chosen a strategy and priorities that did not work. As a result, the company could not get any strategic advantage from SEO.

The client’s main problem was the presence of counterfeit of products he was selling and the impossibility to compete in price with direct suppliers of similar goods. The traffic from Google was significantly less than from Yandex, so the client thought that Google had applied sanctions to the website.

The main directions that needed to be promoted:

  • Insulin pumps and consumables for them;
  • Blood glucose meters and test strips;
  • Various visual express tests (for infections, the content of substances in the body, etc.);
  • Loana diabetic socks (as b2b seller and exclusive distributor).

What we did:

  1. Collection of the semantic core. It was carried out for six months. Every month we worked out a specific group of keywords and adjusted the structure of the site. Considering the peculiarities of CMS Insales, we did not change the site’s existing structure. We expanded it in depth by creating pages for middle frequency and low-frequency queries.
  2. Writing meta tags. Initially, the tags contained 2-3 words, and all the meta-titles consisted of one high-frequency request, did not include commercial terms. We corrected it based on the collected semantic core. It made the tags more detailed and extensive.
  3. Content writing. The texts were either poor quality or missing at all. As we worked out the blocks, edited and added relevant texts where it was necessary. As a result, a group of keywords in the top 10 began to grow in both Google and Yandex.
  4. Technical audit of the site. Among the technical problems, the main one was the presence of a large number of links with 30 * and 40 * server responses. The reason was that the Url had changed many times on the site; there were many broken links and redirection links in the content. Many links were removed from the texts while crosslinking.
  5. Audit of competitors and usability. The online store had an outdated design. It negatively affected the conversion. We made an audit of competitors, analyzed the site usability, and gave our recommendations for improving the design and functionality of the site.
  6. Building up the link weight. A link building strategy was also developed. We kept it in mind when working with external optimization. Due to the popularity of the brand, the organic link weight also increased: visitors of the site left links to it. A significant increase in non-anchor links to the home page was delivered by job search sites, where the clients posted vacancies and links to their websites.
  7. Development of the article section. After working out the main key areas, we began to develop the article section. We selected relevant topics that can bring a lot of traffic to the site and developed a content plan for writing articles. As a result, we were able to increase traffic from search engines.

As a result:

  • The total traffic to the site increased by 2.3 times;
  • Organic traffic grew 3.2 times;
  • The total number of orders increased by 32%;
  • % of keys in the top all over Russia — 56%. 87% of keys are in the top 30

As a result, ROI on orders from search engines got up to 430%.
